The Billing Specialist is responsible for invoicing CROSSMARK clients. The current billing process is largely decentralized and manually intensive. This highly visible role will help to implement new business processes for the new centralized billing team.


  • Prepare, verify, and process client invoices timely

  • Participate in the implementation of new business processes for the billing function to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of client invoicing, with an emphasis on controls

  • Collaborate with Legal and Client Services to optimize billing in client contract terms, and actively ensuring compliance with client billing arrangements

  • Establish relationships with client business contacts and client’s accounts payable departments to facilitate acceptance of CROSSMARK invoices and timely payment.

  • Process requests for write-offs and credits, ensuring controls on escalations and approvals have been followed

  • Recommend enhancements to billing tools, including the proprietary Billing Portal, to improve efficiency and automation of billing.

  • Perform research for client service teams and finance analysts

  • Prepare reports and metrics as needed

  • Support the annual financial audit

Education/Experience: An Associates’ degree or equivalent in a business discipline is preferred. 1-3 years of work experience; Knowledge of general accounting principles
